Pack for the Heat
Makkah temperatures regularly exceed 40°C (104°F). Choose breathable, moisture-wicking fabrics — even for night visits to the Haram.
Unscented Everything
Once in Ihram, perfumed products are prohibited. Switch to unscented soap, deodorant, and lotion before travel to avoid accidental violations.
Break In Your Shoes
Wear your chosen footwear for at least 2 weeks before departure. Blisters during Tawaf are one of the most common — and preventable — complaints.
